Studying for exams

Examination Board

An examination board determines whether a student meets the conditions for obtaining a diploma.

Requests for exemption, or requests to deviate from the rules laid down in the Education and Examination Regulations (EER), should be submitted in writing to the Examimation Board (also sometimes referred to as the Examination committee).

Grades are also decisions by or on behalf of the Examining Board. Therefore, if you have a complaint or objection concerning a grade, you can submit an appeal to the Examination Appeals Board.

Examining Boards per school

Each school has its own Examination Board.

For the joint BSc in Data Science and the master's program in Data Science and Entrepeneurship there is a separate examining board.

More information about

It may happen that, in the information that you receive on the interim examinations or that you read on the website concerning registration for exams, different terms are used for the same things or arrangements referred to in the EERs or the Rules and Regulations of the Examation Board. However, this does not alter the spirit of the EERs or the Rules and Regulations.
