Rules and Guidelines
These Rules and Guidelines 2018-2019 are applicable to the preliminary examinations and examinations of all programs of the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
These Rules and Guidelines enter into force on 1 September, 2018 and are laid down by the Examination Board of the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences on 7 June, 2018.
Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER)
The School is obligated to provide a Teaching and Examination Regulation (TER) for all programs. The TER discusses the key topics regarding the education and examination within these programs and therefore is the principle document both students and lecturers.
Academic Year 2018-2019
- Bachelor’s programs
- Master’s programs
- Master’s program Medical Psychology
- Research Master’s program in SBS and IDA
Requests for exemption, or requests that deviate from the rules laid down in the Teaching and Examination Regulations, should be submitted in writing to the Examination Board.
The conditions for admission to the Bachelor's Thesis are stipulated in article 5.1, paragraph 6 of the TER for the Bachelor's programs. Further details about the thesis can be found in OSIRIS Student and on Blackboard.

It may happen that, in the information that you receive on the interim examinations or that you read on the website concerning registration for exams, different terms are used for the same things or arrangements referred to in the TERs or the Rules and Regulations of the Examination Board. However, this does not alter the spirit of the TERs or the Rules and Regulations.
