Alina Balta is a PhD Researcher and Lecturer at the International Victimology Institute Tilburg (INTERVICT), Tilburg Law School.

Alina is conducting research on the right to reparation for victims of international crimes. In particular, her project is focusing on the relevant case law of the International Criminal Court, the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and the European Court of Human Rights.

She is also teaching and coordinating the course 'Victims in National and International Criminal Justice', within the MSc Victimology and Criminal Justice.
