In Rotterdam, I studied health sciences at the Erasmus University. I specialized in mental health and health services research.
Studies I am involved in include the recovery and partipation of persons with mental health problems. Examples of recent projects include:
- Victoria (development, feasibility and effectiveness of a victimisation-sensitive pre-module for rehabiliation methods)
-CAREER (effectiviness of the CARe rehabilitation method for persons in supported housing)
- Be a barista (multiple case study on succesfull, innovative re-integration programs for repeat offenders)
- Looking at choices (effectiveness of the DIARI, a structured need assessment for women who are victim of intimate partner violence)
I my free time, I dance classical and modern ballet, ride horses and sing.
I strongly belief that with a creative mind, there is a lot more interesting to discover.
My area of expertise includes personal recovery and participation of persons with complex mental health problems, including care avoidance, dual diagnosis, severe mental illness, social and housing problems, domestic violence and criminality. Next to scientific output, I put effort in valorisation of my research work.
