Professor of Networks in Organizations

JADS: Research
JADS: Data Analytics

Bio

Specializing in social networks and social network analysis, Roger's research delves into how human interactions drive creativity and problem-solving within teams and organizations. He has dedicated over two decades to exploring (the organizational dynamics of) new product development. As another research interest, he studies the intricacies of social influence processes within social networks and has a broad interest in how social networks impact on group behaviors and outcomes.

Methodologically, Roger focuses on the statistical modeling of social networks, particularly their temporal evolution, employing both frequentist and Bayesian approaches. His main interest lies in relational event networks, where real-time interaction changes are examined. Additionally, he explores agent-based modeling of network dynamics.

Roger is a faculty member in both the Organization Studies department (TSB, Tilburg University) and the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (Tilburg University & TU Eindhoven).
