Bio

Tim Reeskens is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology at Tilburg University. He obtained a PhD from KU Leuven on the relationship between ethnocultural diversity and social cohesion. He held research positions at the University of Amsterdam, KU Leuven, and Tilburg University, and visiting positions at Harvard University and American University. His research interests include the comparative study of political and social attitudes, with a focus on social capital and generalized trust, national identity, and attitudes towards the welfare state. Currently, he is the National Coordinator of the European Values Study, responsible for current data collection in the Netherlands.
