Bio

I am a PhD candidate in EU law.  My research compares the EU regulation of agricultural biotechnology products (GMOs), pesticides, and industrial chemicals with a focus on harmonisation and national autonomy. I combine my research with teaching undergraduate courses in EU law.

Before becoming a PhD candidate, I graduated cum laude in International and EU law at Tilburg University. During my law degree, I worked as a Clerk of the Court at the Dutch Central Appeals Court for Public Service and Social Security Matters, and as an advisor on EU food and FMCG law in the private sector.

Prior to deciding to pursue a career in law, I obtained an arts degree at Utrecht University majoring in Dutch literature.
