University Representation Board

The University Labor Representation Board is composed of the employer and the employee organizations that are parties to the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities (CLA).

Trade union representation

Three unions are represented in the Tilburg University Labor Representation Board:

Members of the Tilburg University Union LRB are appointed by the unions involved in the CLA negotiations. In Tilburg, there is a tradition that all LRB members work for Tilburg University; union officials are not part of the LRB in Tilburg.

In preparation for these meetings, the unions first meet in the Union Labor Representation Board without the EB. This Union LRB has an Executive Committee consisting of Marinus Verhagen and Naomi Kamoen. LRB members are also in close contact with LRB members from other university cities and bring the input they gain in national consultations to the Tilburg LRB table.

The three unions work closely together, and in the meetings, they act together with one joint spokesperson on behalf of the unions. The employer is represented by the Wim van der Donk (President of the Executive Board), Ellen van Dodewaard (Director of HR) and Alda Lebesque (Deputy Director of HR).

The LRB meets with the Executive Board 6–7 times a year. In preparation for these meetings, the unions first meet in the Labor Representation Board of Unions meeting without the Executive Board.
