Jiu jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

A full body workout, mindfulness, and self-defense all in one. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is based on Grappling and thus contains a substantial collection of all Judo, Wrestling, and Sambo techniques.

Although the focus is on ground combat, in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you start standing up and the use of punches and kicks is not allowed. However, you learn to defend yourself against these through takedowns and clamping techniques.

By practicing BJJ, you learn not only to defend yourself but also to develop yourself physically and mentally. You learn to become more confident and calm in stressful situations. The better you master the techniques and movements and understand how it works, the less you need to use force to gain the upper hand.

Level

There is no advanced or beginner class for BJJ. Unlike other martial arts, BJJ is divided into fundamentals and regular classes. Classes are accessible to everyone. The only difference in the classes is that the beginner class is slower with less material and more details are discussed.

Classes are held on Saturdays.

  • 13:00 - 14:00h beginner's class. Notice! There is no sparring during this class.
  • 14:00 - 16:00h regular class.
