In this Department, researchers from as many as ten disciplines collaborate and team science is a matter of course. 18th January 2022At the Department of Human Resources Studies (HRS) a great deal of research is being done on the design and the impact of HR policy. Dorien Kooij is its Head of Department, and in that capacity she has been experimenting with the strengths approach, diversification of career paths, and focusing on one or two domains. Charissa Freese is Endowed Professor of HRM and Social Security in Dorien’s team. They talk about their experiences.

Jantine Schuit, Vice-Rector Magnificus: ‘It is important to recognize each other’s achievements and reward them’
16th November 2021Recognition & Rewards is a system and culture change in which the domains of education, research, social impact, leadership, and team spirit are central. “It is a broad vision of talent development, with which we want to create a working environment in which all employees feel recognized and valued and continue to develop themselves,” says Jantine Schuit, Vice-Rector Magnificus. As an Executive Board member, she is closely involved in the project. She reflects on the current state of affairs, discusses concerns, and gives examples.
