Kick-off symposium Academic Collaborative Center for an Inclusive Labor Market

Date: Time: 13:30 Location: Seats2meet Tilburg Spoorzone - LocHal 1e verdieping

How do we deal with transitions in the labor market, such as digitalization and aging? What is required to make it possible for a labor market to work for every talent? How do we retain people for the labor market? And how do we make the labor market future-proof so we can deal with shortages and changing expectations? Monday, April 15, we will work together to discover how we can jointly bring about innovations and thus contribute to broad prosperity.

The symposium is open to companies, public agencies, civil society organizations and Tilburg University researchers who are interested in participating in the Academic Collaborative Center for an Inclusive Labor Market, which is initiated by Tilburg University. During the event, more information will be given about the Collaborative Center, and together, we will make a start to identify the societal challenges and urgencies we can work on within the Collaborative Center. The symposium provides an opportunity for researchers and societal organizations to meet and explore where we can reinforce each other.

The program

The symposium will take place from 13:30 to 17:00, followed by drinks. The program is as follows:

  • Opening and explanation of the Collaborative Center (Prof. Ton Wilthagen)
  • Key-note presentation
  • In-depth discussions on the themes (parallel sessions)
  • Meeting each other and chatting over drinks

The initial themes within the Collaborative Center are:

  • Job security: keeping people in the labor market
  • Access to the labor market for every talent
  • Investing in skills and inclusive technology
  • For and by young people: engaging young people in the labor market

At registration, you can indicate which topics you prefer. We will try to take your preferences into consideration as much as possible when arranging the parallel sessions.
