We study how people communicate with each other and how computer systems can be taught to communicate with us.


Research programs

The Tilburg center for Cognition and Communication consists of two research program.

  1. The Language, Communication and Cognition (LCC) research program, which explores cognitive, functional and social aspects of human communication through a multidisciplinary approach for a broad variety of domains. LCC is led by Prof.dr. Emiel Krahmer and Prof.dr. Juliette Schaafsma.

  2. The Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence (CSAI) research program, which concerns itself with the computational modelling of cognitive processes in the visual, linguistic, and ludological domains. CSAI is led by Prof.dr. Max Louwerse and Prof.dr. Eric Postma.
