Be optimally prepared for your Master's

Premaster's program for hbo graduates

All hbo-BE or hbo-AC graduates must complete a Premaster in International Management program before pursuing their Master's.

The Premaster’s program builds on the practically-oriented knowledge you acquired during your Bachelor's by enhancing your theoretical knowledge as well as your capacity for conceptual thinking, ensuring you get the most out of your Master's program.

Admission requirements

To be eligible for the Premaster's program you must have completed an hbo program in either:

  • Hbo Bedrijfseconomie
    • or
  • IBMS

The Master's in Information Management program is taught entirely in English. You must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the English language to be eligible for the Premaster's program by submitting one of the following:

  • A TOEFL score with a minimum of 575 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) or 90-91 (internet-based).
  • An academic IELTS score with a minimum score of 6.5 overall and a minimum score of 6.0 on individual parts of the test.
  • A passed Cambridge Proficiency test.
  • A vwo-diploma with a pass for English.
  • An hbo-diploma of which the last three years were taught entirely in English.

Premaster's program for university graduates

Tilburg University offers a program for students whose university Bachelor’s degree does not meet the entry requirements of the Master’s in International Management program.

The Premaster’s program for Bachelor’s graduates is designed to fill knowledge gaps and provide you with the essential foundation needed to pursue your Master’s in International Management. It is also tailor-made to individual learning needs. The program consists of up to 60 credits (ECT) depending on your educational background. Should you require more than 60 ECTS, we recommend you complete a Bachelor’s in Economics before applying to the Master’s in International Management program.
