Teacher of the Year election 2023: Vote for your favorite teacher

In collaboration with student party SAM, we annually organize a Tilburg University Teacher of the Year election. What instructor is really passionate about their work and activates students in class? Cast your vote between June 12 and 16.

Half of the score consists of the opinions of a jury; the other half is made up of student votes. The teacher who emerges as the winner will be presented with a prize to the amount of € 4000. This reward is part of the Recognition & Rewards program, that focuses on valuing not only research achievements but also other talents of our academic staff, for instance, excellence in teaching. In addition, the winner will be nominated for the National Teacher of the Year election, organized by Dutch National Students’ Association ISO.

The following instructors have been nominated for the 2023 Teacher of the Year election: Hannes Datta (TiSEM), Nathan Wildman (TSHD), Max van der Heijden (TSB), Dorien Velthuis (TLS), and Anke Liefbroer (TST). In short video’s, the instructors share what inspires them.
