Tilburg University involves people with intellectual disabilities in doing research
30th March 2023Tilburg University's Academic Collaborative Center on Living with Intellectual Disabilities (in Dutch: AWVB) has developed a training course that introduces people with intellectual disabilities to conducting scientific research. Academic lead, professor Petri Embregts: "The training is an ultimate good practice to professionalize client participation and give clients the opportunity to participate in thinking and advising on care research that is - also - about them."

Inge Bongers appointed as Professor of Sustainable Innovation in Mental Healthcare
24th March 2023Tilburg University’s Executive Board has appointed Inge Bongers as Professor of Sustainable Innovation in Mental Healthcare at the Department of Tranzo of the Tilburg School for Social and Behavioral Sciences, effective April 1, 2023. Inge Bongers’s research remit centers around further studying sustainable innovations that contribute to maintaining and improving mental health.

Grant for digital self-management platform for people with severe mental illness
22nd March 2023Researchers from Tilburg University and partners received a grant for the development of a digital self-management platform for people with severe mental illness. The goal is to give this vulnerable group more control over their own mental health and thus reduce the pressure on mental health care.
