Four NWO grants for cutting-edge research
17th May 2023From a study that focuses on people who choose to remain childless to renewing microfinance in developing countries. Four Tilburg University researchers will have the opportunity to realize their innovative research ideas after winning a grant from the Dutch Research Council’s SGW Open Competition M. We extend our warmest congratulations to Katrijn van Deun, Katya Ivanova, Tessa van Leeuwen and Burak Uras for their successful applications.

Professor Emely de Vet new Dean University College Tilburg
11th May 2023The Executive Board has appointed Emely de Vet as Professor and Dean of University College Tilburg (UCT) within the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences, as of Aug. 15. She succeeds Dean Alkeline van Lenning, who will retire this summer. De Vet will be in charge of the overall leadership and further development of UCT.

Neurologist Dr. Guus Schoonman appointed endowed Professor 'Digital communication in clinical practice'
21st April 2023Neurologist and researcher Guus Schoonman has been appointed endowed Professor at the chair 'Digital communication in clinical practice' at the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences, effective May 1. This chair was established in collaboration with the Elisabeth-Tweesteden Hospital (ETZ)Tilburg. Schoonman will conduct research on the role and added value of digital tools in communication between the patient and the healthcare provider.
