Students in action against societal issues: Quynh's expedition week in Vienna
24th April 2024During a week-long expedition trip to Vienna, a group of students dedicated themselves to devising a solution to reduce the problems of poverty and inequality in the city. Quynh Pham, a dedicated student from the Data Science and Society study, delved into the ENGAGE.EU Expedition Week with her team 'FewbutGood'. From captivating icebreakers to intense workshops, she discovered how to utilize practical tools and realize groundbreaking ideas that make a difference.

Demonstration by Extinction Rebellion on Campus
23rd April 2024Protesters from Extinction Rebellion and Scientist Rebellion protested on the campus against the presence of Shell and ING during the Economic Business Weeks Tilburg (EBT) last week. During their protest, they painted texts on the glass walls of CUBE and poured green paint over the university logo at the selfie spot and the elevator shaft of the library on the footbridge. These markings were made with water-based paint and have largely been removed.

Election results for the University Council, School Councils, and Divisional Commissions 2024
19th April 2024Fractie Front and Independents have won the elections for the University Council, with five seats each. This is based on the preliminary election results. Last week, both students and staff elected new representatives for the university’s participation bodies. Thank you to everyone who voted!

Maintenance to Koopmans building – glass corridor closed

Keuzegids Universiteiten 2024: Two top-rated programs; four Bachelor’s programs rank #1
30th November 2023Like last year, two of Tilburg University’s Bachelor’s programs have been awarded the Top Program quality label in the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2024. Students have also ranked four Tilburg University Bachelor’s programs as the best in their field. The annual Keuzegids Universiteiten ranks all academic Bachelor’s programs, with the ranking being largely based on student satisfaction measured through the National Student Survey (NSE).

Current student registrations at Tilburg University: number of students stabilizes
15th November 2023To date, 19,506 students are registered at Tilburg University. Student numbers have stabilized and that is in line with Tilburg University’s strategy: quality over quantity. The number of international first-year Bachelor’s students has decreased.
