Alumni VAK/Dialogos
VAK/Dialogos the is the alumni association for everyone who graduated in Catholic theology in Amsterdam, Utrecht, and/or Tilburg.
The designation "VAK" indicates the original name of "Vereniging Afgestudeerden Katholieke Theologie" specifically for the graduates of the programs in Amsterdam and Utrecht, the designation "Dialogos" indicates the original name for the graduates of the program in Tilburg.
Bond with the University and School
VAK/Dialogos is an independent alumni association with formal ties to the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology. VAK/Dialogos makes grateful use of the facilities provided by the university and the School to support the association. VAK/Dialogos is inspired in part by Tilburg University’s alumni policy.
Activities
Throughout the year, VAK/Dialogos organizes various activities. In principle, the Annual Meeting takes place on the fourth Friday of November. Members of VAK/Dialogos have free access to the Tilburg University Library. They can also participate in some activities of the postgraduate center LUCE/Center for Religious Communication at a discount.
Members
VAK/Dialogos has over 300 members. Membership is available after receiving a Bachelor's degree from the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology. Membership costs € 10 per year. Graduates of the Bachelor’s programs who subsequently continue with one of the Master programs at the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology do not pay membership fees during their Master’s studies.
Becoming a Member
Becoming a member of VAK/Dialogos is very easy. Send a mail to vak-dialogos@tilburguniversity.edu stating your name, address, and place of residence, together with your graduation date, the name of your study program, your position/profession, and any fields of interest. For administrative changes, please also use this email address.
VAK/Dialogos is also active on Facebook: graduates can join the Facebook group Alumnivereniging VAK/Dialogos. The Facebook group keeps you informed about activities of VAK/Dialogos and interesting events in the theological field. All members of the group can post messages that, to them, seem relevant for association members.
Members of the VAK alumni association can use Tilburg University's library facilities free of charge.
