Our activities, initiatives and results
Sustainability and society
Tilburg University's sustainability research includes issues in economics, ethics, and law. Researchers focus on, for instance, Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainable development, environmental economics, climate change and sustainable investment.
Sustainability on campus
On our campus and in our asset management, we strive to limit our negative impact on the environment, and - better yet - actively contribute to solutions. Sustainability is not a well-defined, stand-alone ambition, but runs like a thread through our strategy.
Contributing to a more sustainable future
Tilburg University operates at the center of society and is committed to contributing to solutions to the big social challenges we face. Sustainability is an important spearhead of our university in our Strategy towards 2027. We share the concerns about climate and take responsibility as a university to make efforts through our teaching, research, and operations to contribute to a more sustainable future.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) make it clear that the world faces major sustainability challenges. Examples include poverty reduction, ensuring health and well-being, gender equality, transitioning to clean energy, responsible consumption, restoring ecosystems, and combating climate change and its impacts.
