Opening hours

• Monday till Friday from 08.00 - 18.00 hrs
• Accessible outside opening hours to employees with a MindLabs pass

Location and parking

MindLabs is located a 1-minute walk from Tilburg Station.

• If you come by car, we recommend parking in the Spoorzone Zwijsen parking garage (paid). MindLabs does not have its own parking facilities.
• The bicycle parking under the building is open from 08.00 to 18.00 (entrance on side Willem II-passage). Here you can park your bike free of charge (unguarded). The guarded bicycle parking facility at Tilburg Station is a 1-minute walk away and is free for the first 24 hours.

The MindLabs building, located in the center of Spoorzone, provides space for various parties to collaborate on innovations in the field of artificial intelligence and interactive technology. This MindLabs ecosystem consists of start-ups, established companies, social institutions, knowledge institutions, and authorities.

In the building, the following spaces are at Tilburg University’s disposal:

• Office space
• Two meeting rooms
• Three lecture halls
• Four labs

Collaboration

The MindLabs ecosystem offers access to a wide variety of partners for knowledge exchange and collaboration, for instance, as part of research projects. If you are conducting research related to artificial intelligence and/or interactive technology and want to know what the ecosystem can offer you, please contact program manager Martin van der Broek.

Labs

The MindLabs building accommodates four labs for shared use.

1. Virtual & Mixed Reality Lab
2. Game Lab
3. Robotics Lab
4. Brain and Behavior Lab

Each lab has a lab coordinator who is familiar with the possibilities of the equipment and who assesses the applications to use the lab for research or educational purposes.

Lecture halls

On the first floor of the MindLabs building, Tilburg University has three lecture halls at its disposal, seating 60 each. Two lecture halls are separated by a manually operated folding wall which makes it possible to create a space for 120 people.

If you want to use these halls, please contact the schedulers of the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (TSHD) via tshd-planning@tilburguniversity.edu to discuss the possibilities.

Study places

Throughout the MindLabs building, there are a total of 250 independent study places for shared use by students of Tilburg University, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, and ROC Tilburg. These places are primarily intended for students who are taking classes in the building. The building is open on weekdays between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs.

These study places cannot be reserved.

Office and meeting space

Five offices for multiple people and two meeting rooms on the first floor are for Tilburg University’s exclusive use. Most of the desktops are for employees of the Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence Department. In addition, a couple of flexible desktops are available. A flexible desktop cannot be reserved.
