Recognizing fake news in course CoMMiTTed
27th February 2023'Fake news is of all times, but has taken off with the corona pandemic. It is therefore an important subject of research. That is why we received a grant from the European Union to investigate the phenomenon,' says Jan Jaap de Ruiter, together with Max Spotti forming a team of Tilburg scientists, alongside Spanish, Portuguese and German colleagues. It has just been completed. The goal was to create a teaching module with the results and give students tools on how to recognize fake news.

In Memoriam: Ege Okant, Alumna Department of Culture Studies
09th February 2023A prominent young scholar, lawyer, and cultural diversity manager Ege Okant passed away in the horrendous earthquake in Turkey. She was on a business trip in Malatya where she fell victim to the earthquake in her hotel room. She was born in Ankara on 23 July 1995. At the prime of her life, we lost her!
