Tilburg, June 16, 2020 - From today, people in Noord-Brabant can bring the restaurant into their home with CHEFSTBL, a new online booking platform that answers the current restrictions in the catering industry. CHEFSTBL is the first to make it possible to go out for dinner with family and friends, with a professional chef in your own home.

Brabants Finest Private Chefs

CHEFSTBL aims to bring the restaurant experience home. Nearly 30 private chefs are currently available through CHEFSTBL, ranging from star chefs, TV chefs, professional private chefs and grill masters, to well-known restaurants from the region.

Just like in a restaurant, you as a customer are completely unburdened. In addition to a great dinner with matching wines, the table is beautifully set with tableware. Afterwards, the dishes are taken away again and a clean kitchen is left when the chef leaves.

Eating out experience during corona time

Founders Bart Manders and Tilburg University Alumnus Kim van der Zande came up with the idea when they saw how the catering industry was limited by the corona measures. “Eating out is about experience,” says van der Zande. “If groups of friends or family cannot get that experience in the restaurant, why not just bring the experience to the people at home?”

Research by DPG.nl shows that 51% of people miss out on eating out but also that 67% of people have doubts about going to a restaurant. 15% say they do not want to go to a restaurant at all for the time being. “The catering and restaurant experience is changing due to the corona virus. CHEFSTBL responds perfectly to this with a chef who completely takes care of people at home ”, says catering entrepreneur Gijs van der Velden - from Cookaholics Waalwijk.

Creative entrepreneurship

Manders: “We will not let ourselves be held back by what is not possible, but rather look for what is possible. And that is contagious. It is wonderful to see how entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry contribute by offering creative solutions, despite the fact that they have been hit hard ”. Star chef Lars Albers, owner of Restaurant Vigor from Vught, agrees: “Private dinners are a great way to let our guests experience our kitchen at home and also to meet new guests at the front of the restaurant.”
