Learning spaces (concept)
Innovative education requires learning spaces equipped with various possibilities for collaboration, presenting, online testing, or using VR. Below, several spaces are presented in which new teaching methods can be used.
CUBE
CUBE, the university’s latest educational building, was opened in 2018. As regard study facilities, it reflects the ambitions of the Tilburg Educational Profile, that aims to prepare students for their role in a complex, rapidly changing society. With many group workplaces, online-testing rooms, spacious lecture halls, the latest technologies, and ample space for studying, CUBE has everything that a student or a lecturer needs.

Virtual Reality in the DAF Technology Lab
The DAF Technology Lab includes an Experience Room in which eight projectors provide razor-sharp 2D or 3D images on all four walls. As a result, groups of up to fifteen people can experience intensely changing virtual environments. Interaction in this virtual reality is enabled by eight so-called trackers and a remote control. The Experience Room is a unique mixed-reality environment, ideal for collaborative learning, education, and research.
Facilities for online and blended learning
To be able to offer online or blended learning (whereby some students are in the lecture hall and others take the class online from home), in addition to face-to-face classes, Tilburg University has installed supplementary facilities in various lecture halls.
