Academic Portrait

"I come from Saint Petersburg, Russia. I got my PhD in Marketing at HEC Paris, France, and then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Michigan, USA. At the Tilburg School of Economics and Management, I conduct research on how the decision context (e.g. option attractiveness, decision type) changes the way we make decisions related to risk, product choices, and voting; and how changes in the decision process affect actual behavior. My main goal is to enrich our understanding of how people make sense of information in their environment.

My work was published in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing Research, and the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and was covered by The Guardian, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.

Aside from doing research on judgment and decision-making, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and cooking."
