The University of Eastern Finland and its Centre for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law hosted the 20th IUCN AEL Colloquium in Joensuu, Finland, from 31 July – 4 August 2023.
Under the theme ‘Future-Proofing Law in a Time of Environmental Emergency’, the Colloquium dealt with cutting-edge research and perspectives on the future of environmental law in this crucial moment for the field. Sanita van Wyk’s presentation at the Colloquium was entitled: ‘ESG as a Business Model: A Method to Future-Proof Environmental Law?’.
