TAISIG Talks #23: Neurocomputation of Language

Published: 24th April 2024 Last updated: 24th April 2024

TAISIG TALKS #23: In this edition of TAISIG Talks, Pieter Spronck speaks with Harm Brouwer and Noortje Venhuizen about their research into how the human brain processes language.

Harm discusses how computational models can help explain language processing in the brain, and Noortje argues for the importance of thinking about how linguistic meaning can be represented in these models. The discussion touches upon the growing role of AI in this field, the relevance of generative large language models, and whether this research could enable mind reading technology in the near future.
