Promising and prize winning violinist Hawijch Elders is full of spirit and spontaneity. Solo she will play works of Niccolò Paganini and others.

Time: 16:45-17:30 hrs.  Doors open 16:30 hrs.
Free entrance, registration is not required, but be in time: limited number of seats available.


Hawijch Elders

Hawijch Elders is a promising Dutch violinist. Since September 2022, she is Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where she studies with Augustin Dumay. Last year, Hawijch won 1st prize at the 8th Henri Marteau International Violin Competition 2023. She also won three special prizes for the best performance of works by Bach, Reger and Marteau. In October 2023, she was awarded 4th prize at the prestigious Premio Paganini Competition in Genoa, Italy. She has also won numerous other international prizes previously. Hawijch soloed in many violin concertos and with many major orchestras. She plays a violin by Gennaro Gagliano (Napels, ca. 1755) and a bow by Jean Pierre Marie Persoit (19th century).
