PRESS RELEASE Sept. 17th 2015 - In the latest QS Ranking of the quality of universities worldwide Tilburg University has made a huge leap, climbing 74 places from 367th to 293rd on the list. The annual ranking focuses on six key indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, international faculty ratio and international student ratio.

Compared with 2014, Tilburg University scored far higher on employer reputation this year (from 376th to 274th), and also ranked notably higher on citations per faculty (from 373rd to 143rd). The ratio of teaching staff to students also increased, while the score for the international student ratio barely changed. In the subject rankings, Economics & Econometrics stands out, climbing from 50th to 37th place.

The university attributes its improved ranking in part to research efforts and to the strong reputation of Tilburg’s alumni with employers.
