Bio

Ik ben een universitair hoofddocent aan de Universiteit van Tilburg, gespecialiseerd in de studie van bedrog en hoe het wordt waargenomen. Ik ben ook geïnteresseerd in alles wat te maken heeft met taalkunde, communicatie en psychologie. Opmerkelijk genoeg heb ik onderzoek gedaan naar complottheorieën en misleidende influencer marketing, met een sterke focus op miscommunicatie. Momenteel doe ik ook onderzoek naar de rol van AI in het strafrechtelijk systeem. Buiten de academische wereld heb ik verschillende actoren op het gebied van bedrog en kritisch denken getraind, zoals het Franse leger, de Franse en Zwitserse politie, verzekeringsmaatschappijen en human resources. Ook ben ik betrokken bij de analyse van interacties op sociale media voor juridische zaken met betrekking tot cyberpesten.
