I am a Doctoral Researcher in Law and Security at Tilburg University. I earned an MLitt (with distinction) from the University of Glasgow and a B.A. (cum laude) from Emory University. I have experience working in international security for think tanks in Europe and the United States.
My research focuses on the intersection between subversive crime and coastal protracted conflicts. Emphasis is placed on the influence of the maritime domain on regional security architectures that contend with non-traditional security threats like subversive crime.
My expertise is in non-traditional security threats, maritime security, and hybrid-warfare. I emphasize translating research into action-oriented policy advice that assists stakeholders in preventing, mitigating, and resolving international security challenges.
