Bio

Sara Pabian is Assistant Professor aan het Departement Communicatie en Cognitie. Ze behaalde haar doctoraat in de Sociale Wetenschappen: Communicatiewetenschappen in 2015 aan het Departement Communicatiewetenschappen, Sociale Wetenschappen, Universiteit Antwerpen (België). De titel van haar doctoraat is "A developmental perspective on personal and situational predictors and outcomes of adolescent cyberbullying perpetration: A longitudinal examination". Sinds 2011 doet ze onderzoek naar vormen van online agressie, zoals cyberpesten. Momenteel onderzoekt ze de langetermijngevolgen van slachtofferschap van cyberpesten tijdens de kindertijd en adolescentie. Daarnaast doet ze ook onderzoek naar technologische tools om cyberpesten te voorkomen of om betrokkenen te helpen. Naast online agressie is Sara ook erg geïnteresseerd in online persuasieve communicatie. Ze is betrokken bij een aantal projecten rond influencers en influencer marketing.
