Elisabeth Huis in ’t Veld, Assistant Professor at the Department of Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence, strongly believes that neuroscientific knowledge on unconscious emotional brain and body processing and more importantly, how this influences people's behavior and decision making, is a basis for the development of evidence-based solutions in a medical setting. In her startup Ainar she and her team found the solution to make a tangible impact for patients with needle fear through a mobile app.
