Integrity is not a prominent theme in the local elections. That's remarkable, since questions of integrity have a large impact on the decreasing trust of citizens in the government, argue Philip Eijlander and Rosanne Franken of Tilburg Law School in Eindhovens Dagblad.
How can local administrators serve local interests and not become entangled in it? They have to hold each other accountable for not behaving with integrity.
