On July 17, 2014, flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine. One of the victims was TIlburg University professor and Dutch Senate member Willem Witteveen, who was traveling with his wife and daughter.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of their passing. In light of this, Tilburg University and the Dutch Senate are organizing a symposium on Wednesday, July 3, to discuss the scientific, political, and cultural legacy of Willem Witteveen.
