Become a volunteer
Giving your time is a great way to share your talents, skills and experience with current students and other alumni. A great way to get involved with the university as a graduate. Moreover, volunteering also contributes to the development of your network, your personal development, your self-confidence and, of course, your resume. Take a look at the current volunteer opportunities below.
Volunteer opportunities
Guide youngsters via our Mentor program
Would you like to share your knowledge, experience and network with students and recent graduates? Do you want to support them make choices, develop skills, discover qualities and take the first steps towards the job market? Become a mentor! Make yourself available by e-mail and share your skills. With your practical experience, you can offer your students career prospects and possibly support them in their search for a job or a network. As soon as students sign up for the program, you will be connected to someone as a mentor. From that point onwards, the two of you can give shape to the contact yourselves (e.g. by e-mail or a telephone conversation)
Answer surveys, sign up for the alumni panel
Students and researchers are always looking for respondents. You can help them as a volunteer of the alumni panel. You will occasionally receive online questionnaires and be asked to participate in research on behalf of the alumni relations office. Students always graduate around a certain time and in that period, as part of the alumni panel, you will occasionally receive an email with the available questionnaires. You then have the choice which questionnaire(s) you want to fill out and when you do so. Being a volunteer through the alumni panel: a small effort, from your own home, with which you help students and researchers out a great deal.
Coach young alumni during Coach Café
Three times a year, across the country, we organize Coach Café. An alumni event that we set up together with the alumni network the Friend of Cobbenhagen. During Coach Café recent graduates come into contact with alumni of several generations who share their experience as coaches from various perspectives. While enjoying a bite to eat and a drink, young and old get inspired: sign up as a coach! #WhereGenerationsMeet
Grab a coffee
Are you enthusiastic about networking and would you like to pass on knowledge to students or young alumni? Do you like to share your experience while enjoying a cup of coffee or a beer? Then register for Grab a Coffee! Through this initiative, the university is attempting to informally connect students and recent graduates to alumni who have experience in their sector. Sign up and you will be linked to one-on-one via e-mail to one of the youngsters who has registered.

Darya Krapyva, MSc Information Management (class of 2020)
MenteeThanks to the Mentee Program, within a month after graduation I was connected to experienced alumni with a comparable study background. On an informal basis, I came into contact by e-mail with someone who graduated a couple of years ago, as well as another alumnus who has been in business a bit longer. This really helps me a lot in finding my way to a network: great initiative!
