Visit of the Ambassador of India
The Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Reenat Sandhu visited Tilburg University on September 13th. Rector Magnificus and President of the Executive Board Wim van de Donk welcomed her on her first visit to the university. The Ambassador was interested in learning more about Tilburg University, its strategy and learn about the programs and services offered at the university.
A delegation of Tilburg University staff from India met the ambassador and gave a brief introduction in various projects and academic topics they are involved in. The Embassy is generally very interested in topics related to science and technology. We discussed several academic topics that are related to these fields, but approached from the side of social sciences and humanities, such as the topic of technology governance. A delegation of students also had the opportunity to meet with the ambassador.
As the ambassador showed a specific interest in our incubator. Michiel Besters, Director of the Knowledge Transfer Office hosted a presentation about IQONIC. Purvi Sankhla, alumna of Tilburg University (MSc Strategic Management) presented her experience with IQONIC and told her story about the start of her company Yopla.
