Bio

I am a PhD Candidate at the Social Psychology department of Tilburg University.

With a background in organizational sciences, I am interested in leadership and behavioral dynamic at work. The focus of my PhD research is to develop an understanding of the emergence and evolvement of leadership behaviors that may have adverse outcomes for employees and/or organization. With the insights from my research I want to contribute to constructive patterns within organizations and, with that, the wellbeing of leaders and employees.

Expertise

My research focuses on leadership behaviors in the workplace. More specifically, I explore how and why leaders make decisions that can have negative consequences for subordinates and the organization. In my research I zoom in on the leader's perspective to gain a better and more balanced understanding of the emergence of such leadership behaviors. I do so in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Janneke Oostrom, Dr. Djurre Holtrop, and Dr. Ivana Vranjes.

Besides conducting research, I am supervising theses and research projects. Furthermore, I am an active member of the PhD Council of Tilburg School of Behavioral Sciences (TSB).
