Bio

I am a Registered Nurse (MBO-V and part-time HBO-V) and worked as a RN for several years and studied part-time Care and Policy at the University of Amsterdam. After this study, I worked as an advisor, consultant and manager of the staff office in several hospitals and at a medical association. In all these jobs I focused on improving primary processes and quality. In 2004 I obtained the master degree Master of Change Management (MCM) of SIOO. In 2015 I defended my PhD at the Erasmus University with a dissertation on the combination of Learning and Improving.

After obtaining my PhD I was appointed at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management as assistant and later on associate professor Change Management. I started as endowed professor at Tilburg University in July 2022. Additionally, I have a small consulting practice, giving advice and working as interim manager. Also, I work at the department Clinical Informatics at TU/Eindhoven.
