Bio

I was educated as a social scientist. As an endowed professor 'care for older adults' I aim to contribute to the realization of person centered care for older adults. To enable person centered care, the perspective, experiences or lifeworld of older adults is of utmost importance. Therefore in our PhD studies, we study older adults in the first empirical part of the study. In the following empirical studies, these results are connected to professionals working in care for older adults.

To contribute to person centered care in practice, it is important to translate and transform research results and insights to be used in practice.
