My original background is linguistics and literature (BA) and translation science (MA).
At TiU (DCC), I completed my PhD as a part of the interdisciplinary project "Producing Affective Language: content selection, message formulation and computational modelling" (ALP). I am interested in the interplay of the affective state of a speaker/writer and the language they produce. In particular, I study how affective states show in written language and in how far individual words signal an author's emotions.
In our program, I teach academic writing in English and research skills.
