Ruth Mark is an Assistant professor at Tilburg University's department of Cognitive Neuropsychology. Her current research focuses on the family dynamics involved in the changing process from preclinical dementia to Mild Cognitive Impairment and progression from dementia diagnosis to end of life. Exploring the individual progression and exploring possible protective factors against either developing dementia and/or slowing down its progression once diagnosed is what interests her most. She has published articles on Alzheimer’s dementia and their caregivers in many international peer-reviewed journals. Some of her publications have appeared in high-impact journals including Nature and Brain. She conducts both fundamental and applied research on memory, neurophysiology, emotion and behaviour in a variety of neurological populations and in the healthy elderly.
