Tilburg University, also in the city center, 's-Hertogenbosch and Utrecht

The provision of education and the practice of science at a university takes place within faculties. When it was founded in 1927, the Roomsch Katholieke Handelshogeschool (Roman Catholic College of Commerce) was actually one faculty in the field of economics.

In the spirit of the Hogeschool's founding fathers, the education and research of economics at Tilburg took place from a broad perspective, paying attention to ethical, philosophical, sociological, behavioral, and legal aspects. It was not until 1963 that this way of practicing science led to the arrival of specialized faculties: the law and social faculty. Later, a faculty of Philosophy, a faculty of Theology, a sub-faculty of Psychology, a faculty of Arts (Letteren), and a faculty of Humanities followed. These faculties were all located in Tilburg, a situation that changed in the 21st century.

The current Tilburg School of Catholic Theology (since 2007) is located in Utrecht and was formerly called Faculty of Catholic Theology, which was an amalgamation of (parts of) the Catholic theological faculties of Tilburg and Utrecht. A second branch outside Tilburg is located in 's-Hertogenbosch: the 2016, the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) opened. This is a joint initiative of Tilburg University and the Eindhoven University of Technology, 's Hertogenbosch Municipality, and the Province of North Brabant. Located in the former Mariënburg monastery in 's Hertogenbosch, various degree programs are offered. It also houses data science startups. In the Tilburg city center, Mind Labs will move into a new building in 2023, in which the School of Humanities and Digital Science will collaborate with the Fontys University of Applied Sciences of Journalism, the ROC Tilburg, and the business community in the field of interactive technologies and human behavior. Mind Labs focuses mainly on developments for which we use English terms: robotics, avatars, serious gaming, virtual reality, and natural language technologies.

The university is contributing content with research from the Department of Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence. Tilburg municipality, the Province of North Brabant, and the business community are also contributing, aiming for a "melting pot of education, research, and business activity."

The Tilburg campus is also home to the TIAS School for Business and Society. TIAS was founded in 1986 as an employment project for academics and over the years developed into a leading business school, also with a branch in Utrecht.
