Becoming a Registered Accountant
What are future perspectives as a Registered Accountant?
The post-Master's Accountancy program provides the formal theoretical part of the Accountancy education in the Netherlands for students to become:
- Public Accountant
- Internal Auditor
- Government auditor
Further the program forms a sound basis for top-executive financial and administrative positions, including CFO, controller and financial advisor. This function is dubbed:
- Accountant in Business
To become listed in the charter of Registered Accountants at the Dutch Organization of Accountants (NBA) you must meet the following three requirements:
- Graduated from a Master of Science program or comparable academic program
- Completed a post-Master's Accountancy program that is appointed by the Dutch oversight committee on Accountancy programs (CEA)
- Completed a three-year traineeship in Accountancy
