What is password email and how do I request?
A password e-mail consists of a secured link with a unique key which allows you to reset your password online.The secxure link from the password recorvery service is valid for 24 hours and you can use it only once to set your new password.
By default, the password email will be sent to your university email address. If you have entered an additional mail address, you will also receive the password mail at this address. But chances are that in such a case you no longer have access to your mailbox. Therefore, the password recovery service now offers two options (in advance) so that you can still set your password online.
My secret questions
With your secret questions and answers your identity can be verified. Should you have set these questions you will be able to reset your password after answering them correctly.
Mail from "IT support" whith the subject "Set your password"
You receive this mail if a password mail is requested through the Selfservice university account page and your username was supplied. Maybe someone made a typing error when requesting this service. However, if you suspect someone misusing the service, keep the mail and contact the IT Support or one of the members of the university Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT).
