Extending loan period
- Even in the catalog via the link Lenerinfo.
- By phone, in person or by e-mail via the Library Support.
Extension is not possible
- If the book has been reserved by another borrower.
- If you are fined.
Once the books have been returned and the fine has been paid, you can make use of the loan facilities again.
In our depot (not freely accessible) you will find a large part of the book and magazine collection (Vindplaats CBM or CBC and magazines from before 2006). These can be requested via an application for depot request.
TiU staff and students can reserve AV materials for teaching and research purposes and events. If the equipment is used for these purposes, there is no charge.
Interlibrary loan (ILL)
Employees and students of TiU can request books and scans of journal articles from other libraries (from home and abroad) via the Interlibrary Loan System (ILL).
You can pay only by card at the Library Support Desk. If you wish to use the vending machines at the Study Café you can pay with a bank card with contactless payment.

Lockers are available in the library (one day only) and work with a (chip) card.
Copy, print and scan
Several multifunctional printers (MFPs) are available in the library.
It is possible for visitors to make limited use of the printing and copying facilities. Please report to the Library Support Desk.
There are PC's for searching the catalog on all floors of the library. They require no log in. You can use the reference PC's for searching in the catalog and almost all the other library databases.
Eating and drinking is only allowed in the Study Café at level 1. Here, you will also find the vending machines. The machines accept payment with a contactless bank card.
There are study areas on each floor without a PC which are freely available. The study places with a computer are for students and staff only.
Visitors from other universities can log in to the Eduroam wireless network with their own credentials. Other users can obtain a username and password for the network, by sending a text message. This information is shown on the screens in the library and throughout the campus.
