Combine theories from different disciplines, such as media, cultural and literary studies, sociology, and philosophy. Analyze how innovations come about, what their implications are for society, and learn how to communicate about them professionally.
Digital Culture Studies1 year English Starts end of August
Learn to analyze the impact of our digital culture on individuals, communities, and society as a whole. Digital technologies are an intrinsic feature of everyday life in today’s society. New modes of social interaction have emerged, involving intense activity on social media, the use of apps and information technology. Data gathering and algorithmic patterning influence our access to information, how we present ourselves, and how we see others.
Health Humanities1 year English Starts end of August
Combine insights from cultural studies, philosophy, history, and anthropology to approach contemporary issues related to mental and physical health. Study how perceptions of illness and health are historically and culturally situated. Reflect on current and technological developments within the healthcare domain.
Management of Cultural Diversity1 year English Starts end of August
Become an expert in managing a culturally diverse workforce within companies and organizations. Work on policies solving important societal challenges, such as equal opportunities in the labor market, the educational or the healthcare system and the participation of refugees in society.
Jeugdliteratuur (in Dutch)1 year Dutch Starts end of August
Analyze and interpret developments within youth literature and youth literary texts, and provide advice on the role of youth literature in the education, development, and guidance of children and young adults. Study the target audience of children, young adults, and their books in relation to the world around them using theories and methods from various fields of study.
