Would you like to work three or four years to hone your research skills and write your PhD thesis? Tilburg University offers various opportunities for PhDs. You can work as a university employee or as an external PhD outside the university with a Tilburg University supervisor. You can also do a PhD with a scholarship or as a dual PhD, i.e., partially employed by Tilburg University and partially by a third party (e.g., a company or government agency).
The Research Master’s programs and PhD projects are embedded in the Graduate Schools. This ensures that teaching and research are closely connected. Please contact the Graduate School of your choice for more information.

Tilburg PhD Platform (TiPP) is the consultation platform for PhD students from five Tilburg University Schools. TiPP represents and defends the interests of the PhD students and participates in the Dutch PhD Network.
After your PhD
Since you do a PhD on a temporary contract, it is a good idea to start thinking about the future approximately one year before you complete your project. What do you want to do next? Tilburg University offers special Career Counseling for PhDs. In addition, every School offers its own training and courses. Tilburg University PhDs continue their careers in various positions: in the business sector, as scholars at international top universities, or within our own university or affiliated research institutes.
