International Business Administration

Gain a solid foundation in marketing, management, accounting, and finance to pursue a career in an international organization or to start your own business.

What is International Business Administration?

  • Receive a solid educational foundation in the four core pillars of business: marketing, organization and management, accounting, and finance.

  • Unlike economics, which focuses on relations in the economic environment, International Business Administration focuses on all aspects of running a large, global organization, as well as its relationship to the outside world.

  • After a foundational phase in which you rapidly immerse yourself in all aspects of a global organization, you can specialize in the topics of your choice during your exchange period and in your thesis.

  • Develop business skills in the areas of teamwork, communication and (intercultural) communication, systematic research, planning, writing, presenting, reporting, and entrepreneurship.

What can you do after International Business Administration?

Because the International Business Administration program is so broad, you have a range of different fields you can pursue a career in, ranging from general management jobs, to the (management of) marketing, corporate finance, accounting, or even HR. The value of your Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration is widely recognized by companies in the Netherlands and abroad. Firms hire graduates of Tilburg University regularly because of their strong analytical skills and the reputation of the program.

Our students about their program

Natasja, student

"Studying IBA at Tilburg University really offered me the opportunity to study what I like. As a Dutch student being in an international program gives so much additional value to your study. You improve your English and get to know a lot about other cultures. At IBA you get different business topics so you can find out what you like the most and later on specialize yourself in a certain field!"

Semra, student

"What attracted me most to Tilburg University was its slogan “Understanding Society”. If you really do aspire to creating any type of social impact, you can incorporate this way of thinking in what you study. I met purpose-driven people that share this same interest as myself and as cheesy as it might sound, it really is empowering to know that you are not alone and can actually make a change together."

Ainars, alumnus

"A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for." - We can be safe and comfortable at home, but the point of life is to experience adventure and live it to the fullest.
