Spanish - Intermediate (A2-plus)
This blended course (10 weeks on campus and 4 weeks of assignments ) is the continuation of Spanish for Beginners and provides depth. All skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) are covered in roughly equal measure, but the emphasis is on oral communication. The course takes the student towards B1 but the level will not be fully achieved yet. Characteristic of the course is the structural use of gamification, multimedia, and group assignments.
By means of both individual tasks and group assignments, you will continue to expand your knowledge of Spanish. In preparation for the class, you watch videos that help you expand your vocabulary and knowledge of grammar. In class, there is a lot of room for interaction with other students and applying what you have learned. Cultural topics are also discussed during the lessons.
By the end of the course, you will have reached level A2-plus of the European Framework of Reference. You will be able to:
- with preparation, easily describe experiences or events that happened to you in the past;
- talk about dreams, aspirations, and hopes for the future with use of simple vocabulary and grammar;
- express your opinion on plans and explain your actions;
- with preparation, make proposals and give advice;
- better understand the differences and similarities between the culture of Spanish-speaking countries and your own culture in terms of values, beliefs, and behaviors.
Please note: you will not be able to progress to the Spanish Upper-Intermediate and Spanish - Speaking Fluently courses if you have not achieved a B1 level.
