Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
A full body workout, mindfulness, and self-defense all in one. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is based on Grappling and thus contains a substantial collection of all Judo, Wrestling, and Sambo techniques.
Although the focus is on ground combat, in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you start standing up and the use of punches and kicks is not allowed. However, you learn to defend yourself against these through takedowns and clamping techniques.
By practicing BJJ, you learn not only to defend yourself but also to develop yourself physically and mentally. You learn to become more confident and calm in stressful situations. The better you master the techniques and movements and understand how it works, the less you need to use force to gain the upper hand.
There is no advanced or beginner class for BJJ. Unlike other martial arts, BJJ is divided into fundamentals and regular classes. Classes are accessible to everyone.
Regular classes are led by Taner on Saturday from 13:00 to 15:00h.
Fundamentals classes are led by Liwia on Saturday from 15:00 to 16:00h. Please note! There is no sparring during fundamentals class.
